Saturday August 7th Ephedrix is invited to play at the next Bass Island event 'Summer Hypnosis' in Austria. It will take place at the castle of Leiben, a beautiful venue that can host several rooms. Next to the psytrance area, where Ephedrix is headlining, they offer a drum 'n' bass area with Sfy FX, techno/electro with Chris hope and a tekno area. For full info you can visit www.bassisland.at.

During the next week, from Monday July 26th to Sunday August 1st, the Elemental Evolution festival will take place in Turkey. The place to be is Mugla, near the city of Dalaman in the south west of Turkey. On the line-up plenty of Dacru artists. After a one year pause the Full Moon festival is back in full force. This year it will happen from July 21st to 28th at the old airbase in Wittstock at about an hour drive from Berlin in Germany. Plenty of Dacru action on the impressive line-up: DigiCult, Ephedrix and Aquila are all playing on Saturday July 24th. Other sounding names on the line-up are Talamasca, Vibe Tribe, Perplex, Mekkanikka, Burn In Noise, Headroom, Avalon, Ital, Ticon, S-Range, Fatali, X-Noize and many more. There will also be a special Parvati Records stage to celebrate the 10 years of existence of this label.

A busy weekend is coming up for Dacru artists. Also Ephedrix is playing on Saturday July 3rd. They are travelling to Billund in Denmark to perform at the Liquid Sounds event. The event will also see the première of the Jochem Peterson dj set!

Flyers are out there for a new and exciting chapter of Nova's Incident open air. The 2010 edition will happen at the same location we have grown to cherish as one of the finest ones in Belgium! On the line-up this year of course many Dacru talent amongst which we see Lamat and F.F.T from Mexico. Also legendary Talamasca will make another appearance at a Dacru event. A very nice upcoming event for Ephedrix is the Psyrockers event in Buenos Aires. The enchanting capital of Argentina will welcome Ephedrix for the first time to the country. The name of the event is 'Acid Party' and will happen on Monday May 24th (the 25th is a national holiday in Argentina). Also worth mentionning is the venue where it will all take place: an old church that is serving as a bowling alley these days. For more info have a look at the flyer.

Saturday May 8th Ephedrix will be playing a very first gig in Brazil. The occasion is the Smile open air '3 Years' celebration in Sumaré, a smaller city near Sao Paulo. For some more info on the event you can have a look at the flyer.

The Panta Rhei organisation is having a 'revenge party' for their Lucis Springel Ding that got cancelled in the very last minute last year. Dates have been confirmed for an upcoming Brazil Tour for Ephedrix. The live act will be available for Brazil and the whole of South America from May 6th to June 21st. The main base will be the city of Sao Paulo.

Dacru Records will be presented at China's most important online radio that is dedicated to electronic music. Go to www.udancecn.com. We will get a full two hours during the Magic Garden Concept show. They will talk about the label, the artists, play some single tracks and also the Essentials mix will be aired in full. It will be on air on Shanghai time, that is Belgian (Central European) time minus 7 hours. Below is some more info about the exact times. Thursday should be the first chance to catch the show. We have also included the info in Chinese for all our Chinese visitors. A number, we are sure, that runs into the thousands :)

The local Belgian radio station Crazy FM will be airing Essentials Vol.1 mixed by Dj's Oonah & Bonas on Sunday January 31st. You can hear it between 23h and midnight Belgian time during the program 'Underground Alert' hosted by DJ Domi Rè. That's at 105.7 FM for Ghent and 105.2 FM for Eeklo.

The first new set of pictures in the gallery is of the Odyssee 2010 NYE event in Berlin, Germany where DigiCult and Ephedrix played. It is also the last set of pictures that has been uploaded in the '2009' folder.

Saturday October 24th our friends from Morphonic Records are organising the Morphing Night event in a cooperation with Oreades at Glaz'Art in Paris, the capital of France. 'Expander' is the second full album for Ephedrix. After releasing their debut album with dacru in 2008 the Belgian duo is now back with this remix special. Remixes made by and for Ephedrix confirming their place in the contemporary psychedelic scene. Nova's Incident VIII open air 2009 will happen August 29th and 30th. The concept is known: 28 hours of cosy party time in an amazing location in the most beautiful part of Belgium, close to Liége, Aachen (Germany), Maastricht (The Netherlands) and Luxembourg. We have a main open air area offering mainly full on and oldschool goatrance, an indoor bunker area with progressive powered by Purple Snow and a chill out presented by Mindmelt. Some of the main line-up attractions are Khetzal, Kristian, Loop Generation and a big chunk of Dacru artists like DigiCult, Ephedrix, Aquila, Chronos, Sufi and more. The first weekend of September, from the 4th to the 6th is reserved for the Roenaissance festival in Italy! Also last year Dacru was represented at this amazing spot in the Alps near Bolzano and this year we are back with a nearly complete label presentation. Check their myspace for some impressions and if any way you can, then this festival is a must-attend! :)

The Aurora festival has only arrived at their second edition this year, but still it is rapidly becoming one of Europe's nicest events to look forward to. How else could it be with a line-up like that! No list of names here because it would just be too long, you can check it for yourself at their webpage www.aurorafestival.gr. Among the artists we can spot three Dacru names with DigiCult and Chronos visiting Greece for the first time and Ephedrix for the second time. The dates for this one are from August 19th to 24th.

One of the highlights of the Belgian summer for the electronic music lovers is the Tomorrowland festival in Boom. This year the festival is happening Saturday July 25th and Sunday July 26th. They offer a wide range of styles spread over various areas. There will also be a psytrance floor bringing no less than Infected Mushroom themselves! DigiCult and Ephedrix will be pleasing the German crowd once more. The day after the event in Rotterdam, Ephedrix will be playing in Antwerp, Belgium at the Psychedelic Mirrors party presented by B2B. That's Saturday April 4th, if you were wondering. At this event it will be the first time that they are presenting the visuals show that goes with the live act in the home country! Other artists on the line-up in this special venue, a 'mirror tent', include Firaga, Norion, Strophoria, Tension and Electric Lord. Expect a night filled with the best full on beats!

Friday April 3rd is the day of the third Propulsion party at Club Watt in Rotterdam. This Dutch club is one of the first sustainable clubs with many aspects such as an energy creating dancefloor to name just one of them. For More info have a look at their website at www.watt-rotterdam.nl.
Not only the club is looking good, but so is the party itself. Propulsion 3 'Underground Crossover' will exist of 3 areas and will be offering various electronic music styles as acid, industrial, tekno and goa. April 24th will be the release date of Psychofluid Vol.3, the newest compilation compiled by DJ Toltek for Morphonic records. This time the French label has decided on two tracks by Dacru artists. Ephedrix and Chronos. This is the release information:

A fresh country to spread the Ephedrix sound! Saturday March 28th they are invited to play in Switzerland for the first time. The occasion is the Lucis Springel Ding event organized by the Panta-Rhei crew. The party will take place in Sargans, close to the Austrian border. On the night from Friday February 20th to Saturday February 21st there will be a carnaval party in Cologne. The organising 'Das Magische Theater' crew decided to name the party Narrenfreiheit. The next time any of the Dacru artists will come into action again is on Saturday January 31st. This day Ephedrix will be playing their live act in Austria. It was already at the end of June that Ephedrix was invited by the Terremoto crew to play in Greece, but just now we got our hands on a couple of videos from that event. They might not be the best quality, but we thought we'd share them with you anyways. In the first video we have Ephedrix playing live during the night and in the second video you can see some footage of a very rare Ephedrix dj set. The track that's playing is Electro Sun - No Senses RMX from our compilation Orientation Vol.2.

Ephedrix is invited to play in Russia for the first time. Saturday November 29th they will perform at the Catharsis event in Mosocw alongside Ultravoice from Israel and many other artists. For more info you can have a look in the Ephedrix upcoming agenda.

Saturday October 25th Ephedrix will play their first gig in Scandinavia. The small city of Galten in Denmark holds the honor to host for this great occasion.

We came across some videos at YouTube of Christopher Lawrence's set at the huge Electric Daisy festival in the USA. He's playing the Astral Ignition track by Ephedrix. This track was previously picked up by Christopher to be featured in his Global Trance Grooves release. See the videos below:

The next event in the Japan tour is Saturday September 20th when the DMI organisation is presenting an evening at the Studio Club326 in Japan's crazy capital Tokyo. On the line-up we have DigiCult, Ephedrix, Nemesis, Slider from Israel and a few Japanese dj's headed by Kei and Ryosay. Check the flyer for more info or have a look in the artist's agenda's.
On Wednesday September 17th we will have a a label and party promotion in the Quintrix disc lounge, also situated in Tokyo. Nemesis will be playing a set starting at 19h.

JOHN 00 FLEMING & CHRISTOPHER LAWRENCE SIGN JOINT MIX ALBUM DEAL FOR USA!


Following a series of collaborative sell out shows together World renowned DJs John 00 Fleming and Christopher Lawrence have joined forces to sign a mix album deal with US Record label Moist Records to release a series of mix albums under the name Global Trance Grooves ("Two Tribes").

Global Trance Grooves (Two Tribes) will feature tracks that both DJs have sourced for their separate sets on opposing sides of the globe yet will reflect the parallels that both DJs share in creating their sound and the reason why these 2 DJs work so well as a Tour De force selling out shows whenever they play together.

Moist Records MD Michael Minerva said "We are proud to be putting out this prominent album by two of the worlds leading cutting edge trance DJs and believe it to be one of the most exciting mix albums we have released to date".

Meanwhile John 00 Flemings Manager Seven Webster from 7pm management said" This is the first time that I have been involved in a collaborative DJ based project since working with Sasha and Digweed and to be honest this feels every bit as exciting. I am also pleased to be working with Christopher's management Monster Media who seem to share a similar view to ourselves that two great djs on the same album will hopefully make for twice the impact which seems to be already happening wherever they play together.

Ephedrix continues laying down new frontiers. Saturday July 26th, Serbia is the new destination. The Synthetic Evolution crew is having Ephedrix over to perform at their Wonder Forest party in Valjevo. The gathering will take place in a very beautiful spot of our planet next to the river Gradac, as you can see in the video at YouTube.

One week ago the Ecoexistence festival was taking place in Portugal. Dacru sent out Ephedrix, Aquila and Sufi to participate in this friendly festival at an excellent location. Early December last year the Belgian party promoter Back 2 Basics released a promo cd to go with a big event they organized. This cd was compiled by DJ's Firaga and Danny K. Tracks were provided by S.U.N. Project, Talamasca, Basic, Poli vs E-Fact, Double Impact, Bitkit and Dacru members Ephedrix (with Prototype) and Aquila (with Destructive Ends). Ephedrix is conquering new grounds for our label. Friday June 27th for the first time a Dacru artist will be taking the stage in Greece. The party will be happening at an open air location with swimming pool in Athens. For more info you can have a look at the flyer. The organisation is in hands of the Terremoto crew.

We didn't make mention of it before, but Ephedrix appeared in the 150th edition of the Mushroom Magazine. This was out in April / May. Three Dacru records live projects will be taking part in the Ecoexistence festival that will be happening in Santarem in Portugal in the weekend of June 20th to 22nd. Our 7th release, volume 4 in the Orientation series, is in the making. We are staying true to the original concept: DJ Nemesis will provide a good mixture of top producers, new talents and of course with our own artists sprinkled all over. In August it's time again for our annual open air event in the most beautiful part of Belgium: Nova's Incident VII open air! This year we are going for the weekend of August 23rd and 24th to strike down in our amazing location near Liège (Belgium), Aachen (Germany), Maastricht (The Netherlands) and Luxembourg.
Not only the location is excellent, but also the line-up came together pretty well. They have a pretty good and diverse line-up ready for us with some of the headlining acts including U-Recken from Israel, LDB System from France and Ephedrix and Lani from Belgium. Te dj list includes names as Bim from Germany, Tohm, Strophoria, Ramses, Ishtar, R'Deem, Firaga, Electric Lord and many more.

Well it's actually been out already since last Thursday April 17th! The release party in Amsterdam this past weekend was a big hit and it was obvious that this release is going to go a long way! Here are some online record shops where you could order your copy:

Indeed we have been browsing through YouTube today :) Also encountered this video of Ephedrix playing at the Dissonant festival a couple of weeks ago. The line-up of the party included Infected Mushroom, Lani, Edoardo, Kairon and more... Now the video says it's Edoardo playing, but definately it's Ephedrix live. And also the sound really really sucks. We advice you to download a small promotional Ephedrix 'Far Away' pack which includes the album title track in good quality and still unreleased for about 1 more week! Download here. The day before we head out to Amsterdam to celebrate the DigiCult and Ephedrix full album releases, our friends from the Psytown crew are putting up an Ephedrix album presentation party in Antwerp, Belgium. So on Friday April 18th you can go and check out the Downtown Psytown II party, which is also Michael's b-day event. On the line-up we have Ephedrix live, Zefer from Ireland with a dj set and Belgian dj's Electric Lord, 2CB, Hypnosis and Psylosopher. The debut album of Ephedrix 'Far Away' is completed and delivered at the manufacturer. All that remains now is to wait until April 17th when the album will have it's official release date. Friday March 28th it's Ephedrix' turn to play at the Dissonant festival. They are featured in an excellent line-up including Infected Mushroom (live), Lani (live), Secret Sound Labs (live), Kairon and Neurobiotic records label head DJ Edoardo. Today, Thursday March 21st, is the official release date for the Ahimsa benefit compilation! So get ready to support the project and buy your copy. A good option is to order it at Wirikuta, Psyshop or Saikosounds.

The new edition of Trancer's Guide to the Galaxy has been released recently. In the 2008 version you can find 30 in scene country profiles where trance is most effective around the globe. As is in the scene worldwide, there is a lot of diversity in the psy-trance genre. More and more the scene is splitting up into four or even five pieces. People tend to only visit parties with their favorite style(s). However, one massive event in 2007 proved, despite all the difficulties, which we are all part of one scene, and nothing can break that apart.
2007 showed us that our scene is rapidly expanding. But the rising costs and the big number of parties in Belgium forced promoters to ask for higher entrance rates, or to set up collaborations, in order to split the investments. Also our problems in the past with the authorities forced us to organize events in a more legal way, what also caused more investments.
Nevertheless we are spoiled and every weekend we can choose from three or four parties, all focusing on a particular style. Kairoo Records and B2B, based in Antwerp, focus on full-on. They both hosted rooms/stages on two of the biggest dance events, with up to 20.000 visitors. The veterans have grown to appreciate the progressive style nowadays.
The well-respected crews of Purple Snow (with founder R’Deem) and Smiley Tribe are focusing on minimal/progressive and have
brought the biggest names to our country. In Ghent, one of the two trance centers in Belgium, progressive is also emerging in smaller club events.
For many years we had Kairoo Records providing us quality releases and EPs. In 2007 they released the well-accepted debut album of Bitkit called Logical. Nowadays Dacru Records and Suntrip Records are taking over. 2007 proved that they have more ambition than just organizing good parties. Dacru Records released the compilation Orientation Vol. 3, a very well accepted release. For 2008 we can expect a lot of this label, with the second release of Digicult and the debut album of Ephedrix.
Also newcomers Aquila and Sufi will release a full album later in 2008. On the darker side of trance we can expect the debut album of Wicked Hayo on Night Oracle Records. Suntrip Records is probably the only melodic Goatrance label nowadays on this planet. In 2007 this Belgium/France combo resulted in the rerelease of the classical Dimension 5-Transdimensional album and the debut of rising star Goasia. For 2008 they announce albums of Dimension-5 member Ra, Filteria and Merr0w. Furthermore I can only hope that we will see the rise of a mind blowing Belgium progressive act, but the future looks promising.
The biggest event in 2007 should have been the fifth year of existence celebration of the Kairoo Records label. Kairoo Records invited some of the major promoters in Belgium to host rooms with full-on, progressive, oldschool/nuschool/Goa, dark and chill out. The government, due to safety issues, canceled the event after it had started already.
The authorities ignored even a positive court advice, so the evening ended with hundreds of people invading the streets in Antwerp. But the event proved that there is still unity in our scene, and despite the big loss, we hope that Kairoo Records will emerge from it foundations.

Ahimsa is a Sanskrit term, meaning non-violence. It is a rule of conduct that forbids the killing or injuring of living beings. It is closely connected with the notion that all kinds of violence entail negative karmic consequences.

The Ahimsa compilation is released for the benefit of India. This means that all the earnings from this project will go to two organizations that we have selected. The first one is the international Human Rights Watch. Half of the profits will go to their campaigns in India. The second organisation is the Belgian Sevapur. Human Rights Watch (HRW) is an independent non governmental organisation which opposes violations of basic human rights. HRW investigates and exposes human right violations and tries to hold abusers accountable. They as well challenge governments

Sevapur

Sevapur, located in Tamil Nadu in the south of India, is a small village built in the 60's. Lea Provo, a wonderful Belgian woman with
a mission for a better world, gave the poorest of thepoor 'castless' people a life in dignity through the birth of Sevapur. Now over 140 families are living in Sevapur; houses and streets are built and schools and a social education center are running as never before. Half of the profits of this compilation will go straight to the children of Sevapur.

Some more videos at YouTube from the Mexico tour 2007-08. Now we have the December 27th party at Cafe Iguana in Monterrey. The Cafe Iguana is one of the finest clubs we've ever seen! We have uploaded a couple of video's at YouTube from Ephedrix playing live during the We Can Fly party in San Luís Potosí this past Mexico tour. The party was quite excellent with lots of people and a beautiful location. Unfortunately, we have to admit, you can't see too much of these things because it was a bit too dark. What you can do is hear some Ephedrix sounds from the upcoming album and the rather enthousiastic reactions from the crowd.

There were two more parties in the Mexico tour that unfortunately we weren't able to announce in advance because of a super busy travel schedule. But both events turned out quite alright, so it's worth it to still mention them at this point.
For new year's eve the tour was pasing in Chihuahua, the most northern point of this tour, playing at a party named Start and Finish by the Karahana crew.



On Friday January 4th Ephedrix was playing in Tlaxcala.

And on January 5th the tour was striking down in Mexico City. In Xochimilco to be more exact. The party took place at a sort of Island in this chinampa area. Apart from the Dacru guys we enjoyed quality Mexican acts as Barak and Antigravity.

Thursday December 27th there will be a Dacru records night at Cafe Iguana in Monterrey, Mexico. We are spreading our label's sounds all over Mexico. Saturday December 29th another city of the north is receiving a Dacru records party. This Friday December 21st the Dacru Records Mexico tour will have a stop in San Luís Potosí. Next to DigiCult and Ephedrix live the party will also provide the crowd with live beats from Bubble and Mojo, both from Mushy records Israel, making this the first party in San Luís Potosí with this many international live acts. We have decided to go along with modern times and make our catalogue available for digital download. The kind of downloads where you actually pay something to get the track in good quality and support your label and artists ;-).
So far our releases are available at Beatsdigital and Cytopia. You can click on the banners below to go directly to the Dacru Records pages. On the Beatsdigital main page we are also featured as hot release with Orienation Vol. 3.
In the future more online shops will follow and of course you'll be the first to hear about it here!

Our latest compilation Orientation Vol. 3 keeps on receiving excellent comments and reviews! The latest one we can find in the Mexican Trance It magazine # 43. If you are curious and should want to practise your Spanish, then you can enlarge the thumb to read it!

As the tradition goes we'll be doing another Mexico tour with some Dacru artists for the end of this year. The 4th time already and this year's dates are from December 13th until January 9th. For this year we also hope to include some central American countries in the itinerary. The same artists as 2 years ago will be participating again:

The most famous magazine in the psytrance world Mushroom Magazine from Germany has started with a new mailinglist. Every week they will send fresh psytrance news to your mailbox and the mail will also include a free track for download. For this very first edition they chose the Ephedrix track from our last compilation Orientation Vol. 3. The track is named 'Prototype' and can be downloaded for free once you are a member at the Mushroom Magazine website, click here for a direct link to register or to go to the track if you are already registered. And for the occasion there is also an interview with Ephedrix available for reading!
It seems they really enjoyed the freshest Dacru compilation over at Mushroom Magazine as it was already mentionned before in their magazine as a cd to check out! Enlarge the picture to see that.

Finally we've got some pictures online from Nova's Incident! Since we were all pretty busy ourselves during those days we didn't get to take any pictures, so thanks to Martian and Vladimir for their contribution. you can find them in the 'pictures' section in folder '2007'. Below you can also see a small video that was filmed during the Avigmati live act.

A weekend ago DigiCult and Ephedrix played at the Rhakti Dei festival in Belgium. The edition was dedicated to Earthdance. You can now see a modest selection of pictures in our pictures section on this website. Navigate to folder '2007'.

Friday September 28th two of the Dacru live acts are performing in Belgium. Both Ephedrix and Sufi are playing at the ¿Qué Pasó? II party. This party is taking place a cowboy village! Next to the two live acts there's a nice selection of dj's with Jibaro from The Netherlands and lots of Belgian talent. For all info you can click the flyer's back below to enlarge it.

This past weekend Ephedrix and Oonah were guests at the Shiva Project V party that was happening on a farm near Paris, France. They were able to move the crowd as the pictures will show. To see them go to the 'pictures' section of this website and take a look in the '2007' folder.

This coming Saturday and Sunday September 15th and 16th there will be an edition of Earthdance in Belgium! The event is organised by the Rhakti Dei and Femina Mandragora crews. It will take place in the ghost city of Doel, near Antwerp. The line-up is looking promising with DigiCult and Ephedrix as participants from Dacru records. Furthermore you'll be able to enjoy names as Mahiane, Highko, Bubble, Melorix, Chrisss and many more. Also your eyes will be spoiled with psychedelic decorations a plenty and visuals to go along with it. Saturday September 8th we are sending out some troops to the French capital: Paris! For both Ephedrix and Oonah it will be the first time in France. Other artists that will be performing at the Shiva Project V party include Polaris, Whicked Hayo and many more.
