DJ Oonah was born in 1985. He’s a big talent from Belgium who first met with psytrance at the age of 16. Since then he started to develop his way into the Belgian scene. At his young age he started to make parties in Ghent, the city where he lives. For over 5 years he was helping in the realisation of the Rhakti Deï festival. Right after this festival's first edition he started thinking of mixing. Since he was already close and familiar with the music it wasn't hard to learn in fast tempo with the help of friends such as DJ Nemesis.

Oonah's style depends on what time of the night or day he plays but he prefers to play fast passed wicked energetic powertrance. His mixing talent didn't go unnoticed as he was playing numerous parties in Belgium! In 2004 it was the Portuguese Menog who asked Oonah to join his fresh label Spectral records. In 2005 he was invited to play a set at the massive Full Moon festival in Germany and he joined in on the Mexico tour with Dacru. In 2006 he joined the Dacru Records label on a more permanent basis and more international gigs followed. So far Oonah has brought joy to party people in Germany, The Netherlands, Belgium, Czech Republic, USA, Italy, France and Mexico.

Oonah has also been taking his first steps in the production of music. In 2006 he made his first release with the track ‘Next Stop Earth’, which he produced together with DigiCult and which was released at Dacru records’ Orientation Vol. 2. More releases are in the pipeline as he continues working with Dacru artists.
